Sudden downpour floods access roads at College Drive and 6th Ave. NE
Both the East (shown here) and West Viaducts were flooded Thursday in Devils Lake as a sudden downpour hit the town just after 12 p.m. Here city police and services help a driver whose vehicle stalled in deep water. The best advice from the National Weather Service on driving your vehicle and seeing a flooded road is their safety warning “Turn around, don’t drown.”
