Saudi Arabia shuts oil pipeline after drone attacks from Iraq

Saudi Arabia has shut a major oil pipeline after drone attacks originating in Iraq as Houthi forces seized Yemen’s Red Sea coast, putting two routes used for Gulf energy exports under pressure. The fighting has displaced about 46,000 people in Yemen and pushed oil above $100 a barrel. The Saudi Energy Ministry said the East-West pipeline was stopped as a precaution after several drones struck sites in the Riyadh and Medina regions. Saudi authorities reported injuries and damage.
