SMC suspends two officials over alleged dereliction of duty

Srinagar, Nov 02: The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has placed two officials under suspension over alleged dereliction of duties, including failure to supervise and monitor unauthorised constructions. According to separate orders issued by SMC Commissioner Dr Basharat Qayoom on November 2, Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, In-charge Ward Officer, has been suspended with immediate effect pending an inquiry.
