Deepawali 2026: Supreme Court allows certified green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR on November 7 and 8

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has permitted the bursting of certified green firecrackers in Delhi-NCR on November 7 and 8, allowing limited celebrations on the eve of Deepawali and the festival day. Firecrackers may be burst only between 6 am and 7 am and from 8 pm to 10 pm on both days. A Bench comprising Justices M.M. Sundresh and Prasanna B.
