Paul holds every service game to end Halys’s run and reach Paris quarter-finals
Tommy Paul never dropped serve as the American 12th seed beat France's Quentin Halys 7-6 (3), 6-4 to reach the Paris quarter-finals. Halys, at a career-high 46th after toppling Frances Tiafoe, saved seven of eight break points but could not stop Paul's late strikes in both sets. Third seed Ben Shelton or Arthur Rinderknech awaits.
