Rockets Exercise $14M Option For 27-28 On Reed Sheppard
The Houston Rockets have exercised their $14.0 million fourth-year option for the 2027-28 season on Reed Sheppard. The Rockets selected Sheppard with the third overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft. Ochai Agbaji, Thunder Agree To Contract
Ochai Agbaji has agreed to sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder had an open roster spot and a major need on the wing following injuries to Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace last Sunday. Agbaji was waived by the New York Knicks at the end of preseason. In 62 games last season with the Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets, Agbaji averaged 5.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 15.7 minutes. Agbaji was the 14th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz.

Ja Morant has been diagnosed with a grade 2 left hamstring strain and will be reevaluated in four weeks. Morant suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Portland Trail Blazers' 124-103 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
