Authorities are investigating to identify the driver of a gold, older-model GMC Sierra pickup truck involved in a serious motorcycle crash on Rocky Fork Road. Parents file lawsuit against Fayette County Board Of Education after their 6 year old child was allegedly put on the wrong school bus and left alone in Montgomery

The child's parents filed a lawsuit naming the school bus driver, Valley PK-8 principal, the student's teacher, and the Fayette County Board of Education as defendants. According to the complaint, the parents completed transportation paperwork before the school year began, specifying their child would be picked up by a parent on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The complaint states the student would ride the school bus to the parent's workplace in Montgomery on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Nice weather early, then rainy days ahead

Tomorrow will be about as nice a day as we can expect in our area this time of the year. Sunny skies are in the forecast all day long, with only a few clouds around. Temperatures will wind up in the lower 80s, nearly 30 degrees above the morning lows, thanks once again to the dry air. If there is a downside to the nice weather, it's the breeze that we're expecting to develop.

Wyoming County man facing multiple charges involving sexual abuse of a child

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department says 41-year-old Roger Dean Belcher Jr. of Oceana was arrested Friday by members of the Wyoming-McDowell Crimes Against Children Task Force.
