Round 18 of the One Day Cup - So near and yet so far....

So to the final round of the One Day Cup league fixtures with two matters to be decided. The first is who will finish top and go straight through to the final, and the second is who will finish third and make the semi-final (I refuse to call it the Eliminator) on Wednesday. Round 17 of the One Day Cup - And then there were 2!

At the start of the day there were four teams vying for the third place slot and a place in the One Day Cup semi-final next Wednesday. They were Warwickshire, Lancashire, Surrey and Somerset. Round 16 of the One Day Cup - As Warwickshire Watch On....

Warwickshire, sat in third place in the table, could only sit and watch as those below them in the table tried to sneak past them or close the gap. Round 10 - Clubs digging deep

With the T20 World Cup in full bling (sorry I mean swing), the 10th Round of the One Day Cup may have sneaked under the radar, and there are still two more rounds to be played in the next 10 days. Round 9 - The Halfway Mark

Round 9 done, which means that all the teams have now played half their games (8) and the table looks like this. The Blaze have clearly won the first half of the season with seven wins out of their eight games. On a weekend that saw the England World Cup squad dressed in fatigues yomping around the countryside with the British Army, the rest of the professional cricketers simply got on with playing some cricket.
